Researchers in Australia have shown that women who continue to exercise into their 70s diminsh their chances of developing arthritic symptoms.
Examining women in middle and older aged groups over a three year period, those that did two and a half hours moderate excerise a week were significantly less likely to develope symptoms.
This study is the almost the first to show that the more you exercise, the less likely you are to experience the stiff and painful joints associated with arthritis.
