incontinence is treatable! listen to bbc 4 radio

A national incontinence campaign has started

Did anyone listen to womens hour on bbc radio 4 on the 9th of march?

It was great to hear someone talk about incontinence on national radio. Studies show that 1 in 4 women suffer from a leaking bladder, however most women think it is something they have to put up with. It is not a subject easily discussed with anybody else.

Maybe you only leak a few drops when going for a jog or you have stopped bouncing on the trampoline with your kids. Maybe you plan your outings in advance so that you are sure you know where the toilets are before leaving your house.

Whatever your symptoms are and however it interferes with your life there is help. Studies show that 70% of women can sort their incontinence problems out. This is mainly through pelvic floor muscle exercises.  You may need help with finding out what sort of incontinence problem you have and what kind of exercises you need to to.

There are specialist physiotherapist who deal with this and Suzanne is the specialist at Wadhurst clinic. So if you need any help or advice please give me a ring on 01892 785095.
