Cath McCarthy

After being a very sporty teenager, Cath started her physiotherapy training at the Middlesex Hospital, London.

After Graduating she spent 7 years working within the NHS in Brighton specialising in out-patients and sports injuries. She was involved with the physiotherapy team looking after an American football team as well as working alongside the club physio at Brighton & Hove Albion FC. You could find Cath standing at the side of the pitch with a bucket and sponge in her hand!

Cath started working in this clinic in 1999 and has continued an interest in sports injuries both through work and having four children who participate in a wide range of sport. This varies from football to cricket to ballet and curling.

I am a firm believer in a long term approach to health. In sports medicine the cliche certainly applies that prevention is better than cure…..it is also often less time consuming in the long run.”
