Gina has been working for the practice part-time since 2019. She graduated from the University of Coventry BSc programme in 2013 and spent two years completing her junior rotations at Worthing hospital.
In 2015 she spent six months volunteering as a musculoskeletal and sports injuries physiotherapist for an underprivileged football academy in Ghana, treating various lower back, hip, knee and ankle injuries and providing education regarding injury prevention and rehabilitation. From 2016 Gina worked as a Senior Physiotherapist at The Royal Sussex County hospital, practicing within various inpatient and outpatient departments. She left this position to spend three months assisting with the build of a community centre in the village of Makhaising in Nepal.
In 2018 Gina spent a year working for Horder Healthcare. She led back pain education and rehabilitation classes and also ran “Escape pain” courses for individuals with Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis. She also attended a “Pregnancy related Musculoskeletal conditions” course as she wanted to develop her ability to care for this specialist patient group.
As well as working for us, Gina also currently works part-time for Western Sussex NHS foundation trust and as a bank member of staff for BMI’s Goring Hall hospital, where she treats patients following elective Orthopaedic and Gynaecological surgery.
Gina’s specialist interests include back pain, pelvic health and lower limb injuries
When she’s not at work, Gina loves to be outside, whether that’s pruning and planting in her garden, exploring new trails, or running up on the Downs. She is a keen cross country runner and has previously run for Sussex. She is environmentally conscious and will always try to commute to work by bicycle when possible.
“I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and helping them to achieve their goals. I believe kind, integral and evidence-based treatment, incorporated with shared, patient-centered decision making is essential to effective physiotherapy practice.”
